Mouth ulcers, also known as canker sores, are small, painful lesions that develop inside the mouth, on the tongue, gums, or inner cheeks. While they are usually harmless, they can be quite uncomfortable, making eating, drinking, and even speaking a challenge. Understanding the causes, preventive measures, and treatment options is essential for managing these common oral health issues.



Causes of Mouth Ulcers


Mouth ulcers can arise from a variety of factors. Stress and anxiety are known triggers, often weakening the immune system and making the oral lining more susceptible to irritation. Nutritional deficiencies, particularly a lack of vitamin B12, folic acid, and iron, can also contribute to their occurrence.
